I am working with a boutique, values-driven property and lettings agency that manages over 100 let and managed properties. The agency has a turnover of approximately £200k and a small, close-knit team of 3 employees.

As the Managing Director transitions to remote working, we’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to step in and ensure the team and business continue to run smoothly and professionally.

This company’s properties range from SE London, Kent, to Canary Wharf and the odd portfolio that also covers Central London. They have the range to cover any of London or its surrounding areas.

Role Duties (not limited to):

  • Streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency across the team
  • Implementing and optimising tools like Asana (task management) and Slack (communication)
  • Acting as a liaison between landlords, tenants, contractors, and internal staff
  • Providing cover for team members during annual leave or unavailability, when required
  • Contributing to business growth by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and landlord/tenant satisfaction

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Experience in lettings, estate agency operations, or property management is a MUST!
  • Excellent team coordination and leadership skills – you will have experience managing a team previously
  • A strong technical understanding of all current regulations
  • Process-oriented and highly organised, with attention to detail
  • Strong communicator with a calm and professional approach

  • Full UK driving licence required as occasional travel may be necessary
  • Brings an operational mindset with a natural curiosity for how to improve and expand a business

This is suitable for someone who wants a long-term role with room to grow and support a current long-standing team. This company values a supportive, people-first culture while maintaining high standards of the business.
This company is very proud of their flexible, inclusive environment they’ve built and are looking for someone who will bring clarity, calm, and structure to the business and a wealth of experience in the industry.

  • Preferred: Availability to attend the office or local property visits at least 1 day per week (not essential but strongly preferred)
  • Initial temporary term and to go permanent for the right person (this is a temporary-to-permanent position)
  • Rate: £22-£25 per hour
  • Location: Remote (must be UK-based) with occasional in-person days preferred – office is based in Bromley
