My client, a forward-thinking and growing property management firm offering tailor made services to prime residential developments in Central London, are seeking a dedicated Service Charge Accountant to take responsibility for maintaining an accurate and up to date set of financial records for the client portfolio you are assigned.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the business continues to grow organically and to evaluate an acquisition growth strategy!


  • Preparation of budget packs and reviewing content with Head Office, General Managers (GM’s) and client through each stage of the budget process.
  • Preparation of year-end audit packs to ETB stage, conducting reviews with Head Office and GM’s, liaising with external auditors to produce year end service charge certificated accounts in line with statutory requirements and company best practices.
  • Communication with the client upon issuing the first set of drafts.
  • Standardizing and maintaining a high level of client reporting for the issue of periodic (at least quarterly) client financial reporting packs.
  • Reconciliation of all bank accounts related to assigned portfolio on a monthly basis
  • Ensuring that monthly reviews are set in with the General Managers as per internal KPI structures.
  • Update accounts checklist with progress of budgets, accounts & periodic reporting, as well as any general financial projects via MS Teams Planner, or other highlighted software as per KPI agreement;
  • Responding to appropriate finance-related lessee queries;
  • Collating, reconciling and issuing financial information to new agents for lost schemes;
  • Maintaining and updating the company’s contracts on system. As per monthly reviews the EA should ensure all contracts are in place and bills are being received.
  • Providing financial elements to pre-sales packs;
  • Calculating and processing property-specific recharges i.e. heating/water etc.
  • Maintaining ground rent funds and remitting ground rent statements and monies collected to landlords;
  • Maintaining an understanding of the financial clauses within the leases of the assigned portfolio;
  • Updating QUBE with basic information as required ensuring information is 100% accurate;
  • Keep up to date with current internal company procedures;
  • Awareness of self-developments; i.e. training;
  • Reconciliation of site setup funds, maintaining of void accounts for new build clients.
  • Assist with the delivery and support of the Building Safety Act 2022 where appropriate; ensuring that buildings are safe and feel safe for all stakeholders
  • Report to appropriate member line manager the status of all external client reporting on an as requested basis
  • Any additional reasonable requests not listed above.


  • At least a years’ experience as a service charge accountant within property
  • QUBE experience is desirable but not essential
  • Team player with problem solving capabilities
  • Analytical mindset with a good eye for detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Positive attitude with strong communication skills

Hours: Hybrid – Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm with Tuesday being a mandatory office day, WFH three days per week
